Who will my therapist be?
Your Stop Smoking specialist is Andrew Hillsdon DHP DPLT DSCT FPLTA MNCH. He owns Hypnotherapy South West, a busy practice in the South West of England. Andrew has been a successful Hypnotherapist for many years and has specialised in Stop Smoking therapy for over a decade. He also trains other therapists in specialist Hypnotherapy subjects including Smoking Cessation.
Does hypnosis over the phone really work?
Yes, definitely. You don’t need to see a therapist face to face for hypnosis to take effect. After all, many people buy hypnosis CD’s which work, and the phone method is even more affective because you and the therapist are working together.
Is this safe?
Completely. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state of mind. You will be guided by a fully qualified and experienced professional therapist.
What happens if I fall asleep?
This is unlikely because when you are in the hypnotic state, your awareness is heightened, so although you are relaxed, you are not sleepy.
What happens if I get disturbed while in hypnosis?
We ask that you try to find the most suitable appointment time, when it is quiet, but should you get disturbed, it will not harm the therapy. We just pick up where we left off.
Can you guarantee that I will give up smoking?
Just like any therapy or medical procedure, nothing can be guaranteed. However, providing you have a strong commitment to give up, the success rate for quitting smoking with this therapy is very high.
Am I suitable for this type of therapy?
Providing that you are between 18 and 70, do not suffer from epilepsy, clinical depression or mental illness and are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol during your therapy, then you will be suitable. Please see the Terms and Conditions for further information.
Who rings who?
We provide you with a Freephone number to call us at your appointment time.
Can you treat more than one person at a time?
No. The therapy is tailored to your own particular needs and smoking habits.
How long will it take to work?
The effect of this therapy is immediate.
Will I need to cut down before my appointment.
No.
What happens if the phone is cut off during the appointment.
This will not do any harm. You will be fully aware and able to redial. If, for some technical reason, you can not make contact again, you will not remain in hypnosis. You can then call at a later date and make a new appointment.
